Easter Pottery and Painting Day

Today myself and Amy attended the Easter Pottery and Painting Day held at our local Children's Centre.

At first Amy wasn't really interested in and of the pottery paining activities, prefering instead to play with the toys available in the play room.

After a while however she chose to paint a small Easter Bunny money box.

Bath Time Musings

This evening after her bath Amy was musing about the strange markings that had appeared on her body.

'Mummy, why are my fingers all crinkly?'

'Because you've been in the bath a long time'

'*gasp* My toes are crinkly too!'

Happy 5th Birthday Shen

Today was Shen's 5th Birthday! I am convinced the reason he's such a klutz is because he was born on 13th.

Anyway he enjoyed his rubber piggy and all his tasty treats.

Please mum, no more photos!

Fun At The Family Fun Day!

Today both the girls made some barnyard friends at the Family Fun Day. There were ponies, goats, sheep, chickens, ducks, rabbits guinea pigs and a tortoise. All the animals could be fed and groomed and were extremely friendly.

Inside there were also other activities available. Face Painting, Ice a Biscuit, Fabric Painting, Jo Jingles and a clown teaching plate spinning and juggling. There was also a huge range of healthy snacks and drinks available.

Amy's favourite animal was the Cock-a-doodle-doo

The Curious Case of the Missing Tent

Yesterday we were battered buy gale force winds and lashing rain. A dramatic change from the day before which had teased us with the promise of an early summer.

Whilst huddled warm and safe indoors it suddenly occurred to me that I hadn't put away Amy's Pop Up Play Tent from the day before. I rushed out in the howling wind only to be met with an empty garden. I resigned myself to the fact we would never again see the tent and would have to purchase another, while explaining the disappearance with 'it's in the shed'. Lots of things go into the shed, never to see the light of day again. Your bucket and spade that broke last summer and I chucked out? It's in the shed!

Imagine my surprise and joy when upon opening the bedroom curtains this bright sunny morning I was confronted with the image of Amy's primary coloured tent nestling in nextdoor's flowerbed.
